Rome, Italy
For the spring 2020 semester I travelled to the Temple University Rome Campus for my studies. As someone who loves to travel and learn about history, this was an incredible experience, which was unfortunately cut in half because of COVID-19. I spent three months learning, working, and exploring Rome and the surrounding cities and countries. Below are some fond memories of my experience.

Roma
While I lived and worked in Rome, we spent a lot of our weekends traveling to other destinations. Rome acted as our home base, but we still made sure to see all the tourist sights there as well.
Todi, Italy
Our first weekend in Italy, we went on a class trip to Todi to experience the Tuscan countryside and eat an authentic Tuscan meal in a castle.
Florence, Italy
Florence was our first trip out of Rome on our own. We spent the weekend sightseeing and enjoying the beauty of the history and art.

Pisa, Italy
Believe it or not, the only there is to do in Pisa is see the leaning tower. We did also get some really good, cheap pizza though!
Naples, Italy
Naples was an interesting experience because it is not as large of a tourist destination, so it felt more like a normal city would. But behind all the grime, and dark, crowded streets, the city was still beautiful.
Pompeii, Italy
From Naples, we took a short day trip over to Pompeii to see the ruins.
London, United Kingdom
If you've made it this far, you know England is one of my favorite places in the world, so of course I had to take Colleen and Shanna to London.

Berlin, Germany
Our spring break plans began in Berlin, Germany. The original plan was to go from Germany to the Czech Republic, back to Germany, and then to Austria and possibly Hungary. While in Berlin, we received the email that our study abroad program was suspended and we'd need to travel back to the United States.
Prague, Czech Republic
Flights back to Rome were cheaper from Prague than in Berlin, so we boarded our bus and spent a day in Prague. While ignoring the stress and sadness of having to go back home, we soaked in everything we could from our last destination together.
Paris, France
I couldn't leave Europe without going the one place I had always wanted to visit. So, I packed my bags and dragged them to Paris, where I spent two days sightseeing on my own before heading back to the United States.
